Cracked it...and ready!

Claire completed the longest training run in her schedule yesterday, prior to The London Marathon in 3 weeks time. She completed the 20 miles in 3 hours 1 minute, a fantastic time, and putting her in the frame to complete a sub-4 hour Marathon.

Running from Daventry to Draycote Reservoir near Rugby, followed by 2 (and a bit) laps around the water, it was a superb effort - even more so considering she was suffering from an upset stomach - and is very grateful for friend Dave in riding alongside to encourage her, particularly over the last 4 miles.

Fantastic run especially bearing in mind your stomach upset and the wind, along the top straight !
As with the 18 miler that I witnessed I was incredibly impressed.
Nice to see that you still had the energy at the end to get even more sponsorship out of people in the cafe.
Keep up the good work and if anyone reading this hasn't already sponsored Claire please do. Its a tremendous cause and the effort she has put in, both training and fundraising, is staggering.

Hi Claire, well done. Sorry I haven't been there to support you but I have been thinking about you. I am very much in awe as I tried to run the other day and have been laid up with a bad back ever since.
Daniel wishes you luck and said that he can't wait for you to WIN the London Marathon and to get the GOLD medal. A bit of a tall order I know but knowing you, you won't be far behind.
We all wish you loads of luck and if we get to see it out here in Oz we will be looking out for you. Lots and lots of love Nikki, Stewart, Daniel and James xxxx
